Easter Weekend:

We went to Tulsa for Easter and we got to spend a lot of wonderful time with a lot of wonderful people:
-We ate dinner with some of Doug's co-workers from the old job.
-We went to a newish friends house and sat on her deck with some of our oldest friends and some new friends. It was a beautiful evening of good conversation and wonderful weather.
- Had breakfast at the Odom's house. The boys even played some beautiful music together while the girls sat and talked in the kitchen.
- Went back to the Odom's for more fun and spent time with them and the Sullivan's. [p.s. thank you Lord for wonderful friends]
- Spent Easter with Doug's family. We got to hold a sweet baby, had an Easter basket sitting on the table, and enjoyed Aunt Kelly's brisket.
- Enjoyed time with mom Karen. Had lunch together, watched America's Next Great Restaurant, ate pizza, and talked about how people parent their adult children.
- Doug had coffee with good friend Steven.

When I think about why I love Tulsa so much I realize that so much of my love for the place are the people that we get to enjoy when we are there. We did not even get to see all of our family or loved ones this weekend. It is a blessing to have a fun place to go to and relax and be around those that we love deeply.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa!

We Love:
- Your hugs and your strong hand squeezes.
- That you would allow us to comb your hair and play barber shop with your hair when we were young children.
- Your dedication to our family. You have driven many many miles to be present at many of our important events in our life. You being there means so much.
- Your stories and your love for dessert.
- That you read our blog!

Happy Happy Birthday! We love you lots.

Monday Thoughts:

Spending time on the couchbed.

- Doug took me into town for Mexican food for lunch. It hit the spot. I had a burrito, rice and beans. And I even splurged and ordered a Dr.Pepper. It tasted so good.

- I am trying to understand Twitter. I still have a lot of learning to do.

- I am also trying to understand the Glee hype. I like when they sing songs and dance but I don't like the depressing marriage and the terrible wife.

- Maxwell and I took a walk this morning. He was tired and confused as to why we were out and about during his napping hours.

- Our couch turns into the perfect couch bed. We have been spending a lot of time on it lately watching t.v. shows together in the evening.

Letters:

Dear Oklahoma,
I love you a whole lot. You have so many beautiful and wonderful things. But today, I am not happy with you. And neither is our bank account. Why did you want so much of our money for tax season this year? Let's not  do that ever again, okay?

Dear Friday Night Lights,
When Doug and I went on our surprise date the other night we talked about you for about 30 minutes. The way you portray family and marriage make my heart so happy. Thanks for the good dinner conversation.

Dear Husband,
Speaking of our surprise date. Thanks for taking me to dinner and then letting us wander the aisle of Target. I enjoyed being away with just you for an evening. You are my favorite person in the whole wide world.

This Past Week We:

1. Drove to OKC for a fundraising dinner. The highlight was going out for coffee with some dear friends after the dinner. We crammed a small circle of chairs into the Starbucks and talked for a few hours.
2. Slept in Tulsa. I did not even get to see Karen because we got there so late and she had to get to work before we were up the next morning. Doug went in and talked to her for a little while when we got there.
3. Spent some time with Jon Odom.
4. I saw Doug for about 10 minutes in one entire day. Then the next day was not much better due to the fundraising dinner that we hosted here at camp. To say that I am so excited that they are over would be a huge understatement. I am excited to maybe get to spend time with him before 11:30 pm at tonight.
5. Doug bought me flowers. Which he arranged. Just for me. [I think he knew I was a little needy this week with all his time away.]
