To Danae Castle

I came back from lunch the other day and there was a large white box on the floor that said: To Danae Castle.

I got pretty excited to receive such a fun, large, box. And it even had my name on it.

I opened it to find a bunch of Data Reports. Not exactly what I had wanted.

Caden James Clark

New nephew, Caden:

I just want to kiss him and hold him and smell him. Nothing like a new new born baby.

The whole family together. Bailey and Caden's birthdays are two days apart, one year apart. It is crazy to think that they grow that fast in one year. And crazy to think that my sister had two babies within one year.

And, just look at that face.

Happy Fall

Yesterday we were walking home from work and Doug took me by a tree that he saw that he knew I would like.

It looked like this:

As wonderful as this picture is, it gets better:

And, my favorite of all. Hott, Husband Castle's face with the beautiful tree:

(He makes my heart pitter patter)

And, just in case you were wondering what our feet look like with a fall leaf, here is a photo of that as well:

Indian Name

Doug: Your nose is always cold.
Danae: But you say the rest of my body is always warm.
Doug: People should call you Cold Nose Warm Body.
Danae: Why?
Doug: It could be your Indian name.

Two Down (on both sides of the family)

Earlier this year I was sitting in a sonic parking lot, drinking some vanilla dr.pepper, and talking with my future sister-in-law Jeanette. She was telling me about this boy named Brad that she had been talking to. This boy named Brad that she had started to like. This boy named Brad that she wanted us to meet. This boy named Brad that might beat me up if I keep calling him a boy.

I remember trying to get Jeanette to call him her boyfriend. She had a hard time saying that word. That word sure can be scary. Eventually, she started calling him her boyfriend.

Then, we all got to meet this boy, oh wait I mean man, named Brad before our wedding. He was brave enough to come to our wedding and not just meet every member of Jeanette's family but also many of my family members. One of my favorite parts of that weekend was watching Brad and Jeanette together. You could see how much he cared for her. And how much she liked being around him.

Now Jeanette is not just calling him her boyfriend she gets to call him her finance. Today when Jeanette called I was sitting at work, married to her brother, and talking about her wedding and marriage.

It is crazy how fast life can change. And, we are so thankful this is a happy, welcome and exciting change:

The future O'Hara's.
